I’m Annetta Reid — a holistic health coach, fitness instructor, Zumba enthusiast, and passionate advocate for helping women over 40 feel strong, confident, and empowered in their health journey.
After over 15 years in the fitness industry, my mission has evolved. And it all started with a health wake-up call of my own: being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
✨ Why I Started AR Holistic Fitness

Fitness was always part of my life, but I realised that exercise alone wasn’t enough.
To truly feel well, I had to understand:
• The power of nutrition
• The role of mindset
• And the importance of sustainable lifestyle choices, not fad diets
Now, I combine all of these elements in a fun, supportive space for other women — women who want to feel good, live better, and redefine aging on their own terms.
💃 Zumba & Connect: More Than a Workout
Every Wednesday at 10am the Fordbridge Community Centre, Chemsley Wood, we dance, sweat, and learn together.
Our Zumba & Connect sessions are about:
• Moving joyfully with purpose
• Building community with likeminded women
• Learning together about health topics that matter
After we dance, we sit down for a short wellness workshop. This week’s focus? Diabetes prevention and management. Next week, we’ll be diving into cholesterol health. Each session gives women tools they can use right away — and a support system that helps them stay on track.
🌱 Community-Led, Feedback-Fueled
We’re now 4 weeks into a 20-week pilot project — and the response has been amazing!
✔️ We’ve had 10 regulars from the start
✔️ New participants join weekly
✔️ Everyone agrees: this is something that’s needed
Women are saying how much they value the space, the mix of movement and education, and the way it makes them feel.
🔍 What’s Next for Zumba & Connect
We’re just getting started, and there’s so much more to come.
As we move through this pilot project, I’ll be gathering feedback and continuing to build relationships with local health networks — including social prescribing and Exercise on Prescription opportunities — so more women in our community can access this support.
